Psychology Services for Preschool and School-aged Children
Early Support Makes aMAZEin’ Differences
At aMAZEin’ Minds Psychology, we specialise in psychological assessments and therapy that help children grow, connect, and thrive.
We support families with children aged 0 to 12 years who are showing signs of developmental, emotional, or behavioural challenges.

- Difficulty following instructions, organising tasks, or staying on track
- Concerns about Autism, ADHD, or learning differences
Therapy & Psychological Assessments We Offer:

What Are Typical Milestones?
Children grow at different rates, but here are some common developmental milestones to be aware of:
By 18 Months:
- Uses at least 10 words
- Points to show interest
- Walks without support
- Begins pretend play (e.g., feeding a doll)
By 3 Years:
- Speaks in short sentences (3–4 words)
- Follows simple instructions
- Engages in pretend or social play
- Shows a range of emotions
By 4–5 Years:
- Talks clearly enough to be understood by others
- Draws basic shapes and people
- Can sit and listen for short periods
- Begins recognising letters, numbers, or rhyming words
By 6–8 Years:
- Reads simple books and writes basic sentences
- Understands and follows classroom routines
- Manages emotions with some independence
- Builds and maintains friendships
By 9–12 Years:
- Thinks more logically and independently
- Understands social rules and fairness
- Manages school demands with support
- Navigates peer issues and identity development
If your child is not meeting some of these milestones, it doesn’t necessarily mean something is wrong — but it may be worth checking in.

Why Early Intervention Matters
Early childhood is a time of rapid growth and change. With the right support, children can build stronger communication skills, emotional resilience, and learning confidence. The earlier concerns are identified, the more we can do to help your child reach their full potential.
