Career Assessment for Adults
A career assessment for adults can help you gain clarity when you’re feeling uncertain, stuck, or misaligned in your current work or study path. Many adults reach a point where they begin questioning their direction — whether due to burnout, changing priorities, job dissatisfaction, or a desire to explore untapped strengths. Others may be entering (or re-entering) the workforce and feel overwhelmed by the options ahead.
At aMAZEin’ Minds Psychology, we offer evidence-based, individualised career assessments to support adults in making confident, informed decisions. Our process combines psychological insight with practical tools to help you better understand your interests, values, and personality — and how they align with meaningful work.
Whether you’re seeking change, rediscovery, or just a deeper understanding of yourself, our career assessments provide a roadmap to help you move forward with purpose.
What Is a Career Assessment for Adults?
A career assessment is a structured process designed to help you understand your personality traits, values, interests, and capabilities — and how these align with different career paths or work environments. Whether you’re looking for greater fulfilment, planning a career change, or re-entering the workforce after time away, this kind of clarity can be invaluable.
At aMAZEin’ Minds Psychology, we offer evidence-based career assessments tailored to adults at all life stages — from early adulthood through midlife transition and beyond.
Who Is This For?
You might benefit from a career assessment if you:
- Feel disengaged, burnt out, or stuck in your current job
- Are considering a career pivot or return to study
- Want help identifying careers that match your values and strengths
- Are entering the workforce for the first time or after a long break
- Are seeking self-understanding or direction as part of a neurodiversity-affirming assessment
We support adults from all walks of life — including professionals, creatives, career changers, and late-identified neurodivergent individuals exploring their identity and purpose.

What’s Involved in a Career Assessment?
Our process is collaborative, individualised, and grounded in psychological science:
1. Initial Interview
We explore your background, goals, challenges, and hopes for the future. This helps us tailor the right tools for you.
2. Evidence-Based Testing
We use a combination of standardised career and personality measures, such as:
- NEO-PI-3 (personality traits based on the Five-Factor Model)
- Holland’s RIASEC model (career interest types)
- Additional questionnaires on work values, motivation, and aptitude as needed
3. Integration & Insights
We combine your test results, self-report, and background information to build a clear vocational profile.
4. Feedback & Report
You’ll receive a comprehensive, jargon-free report and a feedback session to walk through your options, insights, and next steps.
Why Choose Us?
At aMAZEin’ Minds Psychology, our Educational & Developmental Psychologists take a person-centred, non-pathologising approach. Whether you’re exploring careers for the first time or seeking greater alignment in your current work, we’re here to support your growth — not funnel you into a box.
Our psychologists understand the unique vocational needs of:
- Adults returning to work or study
- Neurodivergent individuals (e.g. ADHD, autism, dyslexia)
- People navigating burnout or midlife shifts
- Those exploring identity or values-based change
Career Planning as a Form of Self-Knowledge
Career decisions are rarely just about jobs — they’re about meaning, motivation, identity, and the kind of life you want to build. A career assessment is not a test of what you “should” do, but a tool for understanding and embracing who you are and how to move forward with intention.
