🌿 Imogen Barry | Provisional Psychologist

Master of Professional Psychology Candidate, ACU

Imogen Barry is a provisional psychologist completing her Master of Professional Psychology at Australian Catholic University. She works under the supervision of clinic director and educational and developmental psychologist, Dr Andrea Sadusky.

Imogen is passionate about creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space where people feel genuinely heard, respected, and supported. She works with children, adolescents, and adults, and values building strong therapeutic relationships that foster trust, self-understanding, and meaningful growth.

Prior to commencing her psychology training, Imogen worked in education, disability support, human resources, and crisis support services. These experiences provided her with a deep appreciation for the diverse ways people experience the world and strengthened her ability to connect with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and life experiences.

Imogen has particular experience supporting neurodivergent young people and individuals with diverse support needs – including autistic individuals, ADHDers, and people with diverse support needs. She takes a strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming approach and believes that support is most effective when people feel understood, empowered, and accepted for who they are.

Alongside her clinical training, Imogen volunteers with Lifeline, providing crisis support to individuals experiencing significant emotional distress. This work has strengthened her skills in active listening, emotional support, and compassionate communication during difficult moments.

Imogen also has a particular interest in supporting individuals experiencing emotional distress, life transitions, and periods of uncertainty. She understands that reaching out for support can sometimes feel overwhelming and aims to create a space where clients feel safe to explore challenges at their own pace. Whether someone is navigating stress, relationship difficulties, changes in identity, workplace concerns, or emotional wellbeing challenges, Imogen approaches each person’s experiences with curiosity, compassion, and respect.

Imogen values collaboration and works closely with clients, families, schools, and other professionals to develop practical strategies that support wellbeing across home, school, work, and community settings..
