Autism + ADHD (AuDHD) Assessments for Children & Teens – Pricing & Process
Why Have an AuDHD Assessment?
Autism and ADHD often occur together, sometimes called AuDHD. A combined assessment helps explain how both conditions affect learning, attention, social skills, and emotional regulation. It gives families a clear picture of strengths and challenges, and provides recommendations for home, school, and supports such as the NDIS.
Important Note
The structure and pricing outlined on this page represent a typical assessment pathway. Every client’s needs are unique, and in some cases sessions may differ, or there may be overlap between assessment types to best answer your specific referral questions. Please contact us to discuss your circumstances and receive a personalised quote before booking.
Our AuDHD Assessment Process
Step 1: Intake Session (100 minutes)
- Parent-only session (usually telehealth).
- We gather developmental history, current concerns, and family context.
- An opportunity for you to ask questions.
Step 2: Testing Sessions (2 × 50 min + 1 × 75 min)
- Held in person at our Mount Waverley clinic.
- Includes:
- Cognitive testing (problem-solving, memory, attention, processing speed).
- Structured observations (e.g., ADOS – the gold-standard tool for assessing social communication, play, and imagination).
Step 3: Feedback Session (50 minutes)
- About 4 weeks later.
- Results explained in plain language.
- Clear recommendations for school, home, and daily life.
- Telehealth or in person.
Note: Some children may need more or fewer sessions depending on their needs.
