Our ADHD Assessment Process
Intake Session (75 minutes)
- Gathers personal and developmental history.
- Wherever possible, include a parent or someone who can speak about your early childhood.
- Telehealth available.
Cognitive Testing (100 minutes)
- In-person assessment of attention, memory, processing speed, and executive functioning.
Feedback Session (50 minutes)
- Clear explanation of results and tailored recommendations.
- Telehealth available.
Comprehensive Report
- Detailed summary of findings, recommendations, and clinical impressions.

Preparing for Your First Appointment
- Complete the intake form: Click here to complete online. You can also upload any relevant documents.
- Recent vision & hearing checks: Please ensure these have been done within the last 12 months, as they can influence assessment results.
Payment & Billing
- Telehealth sessions (intake & feedback): Pre-paid (card or bank transfer).
- In-person sessions: Pay in clinic (card or bank transfer).
- Report fee: Due immediately after the final testing session. Reports are only written once the fee is received.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can NDIS cover this?
Sometimes. Speak with your NDIS Coordinator to check coverage and available funds.
Does private health insurance help?
It depends on your policy. Please check with your provider.
Do I need a referral?
No referral is required, though you may wish to discuss with your GP.
Are Medicare rebates available?
For some individuals under 25, item 82000 (“Complex neurodevelopmental disorder and disability services”) may apply with a GP or psychiatrist referral. Read more on our Medicare page or on Medicare’s official site.
Can psychologists prescribe ADHD medication?
No. Only psychiatrists and medical doctors can prescribe medication.
